Brian and Jean Wahlberg
Director and Administrative Assistant
Brian graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor’s of Science, and received his Masters of Divinity from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to becoming the full-time director of Camp Calvary in 1984, he was the youth pastor, high school bible teacher, athletic director and a coach at Calvary Baptist Church. Brian first heard the gospel message at a Bible camp, and then later at another Bible camp he surrendered his life to full-time ministry. His wife, Jean, also graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, getting her Associates’ degree. She works extensively with the administration of Camp Calvary, and has previously worked as a secretary at a detective agency and an assistant at a dentist’s office. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at Camp Calvary when she was in high school, and it holds a special place in her heart. Brian and Jean have both experienced firsthand many times how God uses camp as a powerful tool in their own lives and in the lives of other young people and adults. They have been married for over 40 years; and they have three sons, three beautiful daughters-in-law and eleven precious grandchildren. Brian’s favorite verse is Colossians 3:23 and Jean’s is 1 Samuel 12:24.
Josh and Christy Scheiderer
Assistant Director
Josh graduated from Bob Jones University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible, a master’s in Theology and a Master’s of Divinity from Heart of America Theological Seminary; he has served in ministry leadership positions for nearly 25 years. He enjoys watching sports, whether it’s his children playing for their school or his favorite football teams (Eagles on Sundays and the Buckeyes on Saturdays). Whether on camp, church or Christian school staff, he desires for people to see, follow and love Jesus more because they’ve spent time together. Josh and his wife, Christy, have been married since 1999 and have five children—Haywood, Tori, Eden, Liv and Addy—and three dogs. Christy is an entrepreneur, successfully balancing home life and small-business start-ups. Their family loves to spend time together and be outdoors as much as time allows!
AJ and Nina Shelburne
Program Director
AJ graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor’s in Bible General Studies, and has been involved in some way here at Camp Calvary for over 10 years, beginning as a summer staffer in 2014. AJ dedicated his life to the Lord at a Bible camp when he was in high school. He met his wife, Nina, while they served here at Camp Calvary on summer staff together, and they were married in August of 2020. Nina grew up coming to Camp Calvary, and is a first grade teacher at a local school. She continues to serve here at camp, on summer staff and as a volunteer throughout the year.
Tom and Becky Connor
Facilities Director
Tom graduated from Bob Jones University’s carpentry program, and has been working in the construction field for over 20 years. He has extensive experience with excavation, plumbing and electrical work, not to mention a wealth of general construction knowledge. His wife, Becky, graduated from Calvary Baptist School in Lansdale, PA, and does an amazing job decorating camp for all the different retreats and events. They were married in April of 2002, and have three beautiful daughters: Haley, Dakota and Briella.
Andrew and Tori Crowley
Assistant Program Director and Registration Coordinator
Andrew and Tori were both born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland, and have worked at Camp Calvary on summer staff since 2019. They were married in September of 2021 and started their full-time positions at camp in September of 2022. Andrew graduated from Wor-Wic Community College with an Associate’s in General Studies, and has several years’ experience working in construction. Tori graduated from Salisbury University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Multimedia Journalism and has many years of professional customer service experience.
Kris and Heather Klecker
Food Service Manager
Kris was born and raised in Owatonna, Minnesota, where he met his wife, Heather, while she attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College. With over 20 years of cooking experience, he does a fantastic job planning and cooking all the delicious meals here at camp. Heather also works in the kitchen for a lot of our retreats–she grew up coming to Camp Calvary, and loves that her family is now able to be a bigger part of its ministry. The Kleckers have been married for over 20 years, and have three beautiful daughters: Natalie, Finley and Oakley.
